Stomach Exercise Flat Abs

The keywords for getting a flat mid-section are 'stomach exercise flat abs'. All women want to have a flat stomach. To achieve this all that is required is healthy eating, some regular fitness training and some workouts to tighten up the stomach and tone the abs. Here are four simple exercises that you can do anywhere and will help you on your way to that perfect stomach.

First of all, the bicycle exercise is excellent at targeting the main upper abs and the obliques. Essentially it involves lying flat on your back with your arms behind you head. Bring your left leg up off the floor to your chest and raise your shoulders off the ground. Then straighten your leg and do the same movement on the right leg. Continue this process as if you are riding a bike whilst lying flat.

One tool that you can use and if very useful for a number of exercises is the exercise ball. One simple exercise to do on it is a simple ab crunch. Position your body so that you are resting on the ball with your lower back. Crunch your abs and bring your lower back up off the ball. Gently lower and repeat.

The vertical leg crunch is another good exercise. Lie again on the floor and extend the legs straight up. As you do this contract the abs to raise your shoulder blades from the floor. Keep the legs in a fixed controlled position and then lower slowly back to the floor.

Another variation is the extended or long arm crunch. Here you do an ab crunch as you would usually, but extend your arms out behind your head locking them together and keeping your hands clasped. Again repeat this 12-16 times.

There are many other exercises you can take advantage of, especially using other weights and equipment. However, these are excellent for using your body weight and can be done anywhere.
