The Clown: Emotional redo of The Winner in regards to a cleaned-up, self-hating comic with a committed child who looks out for him. Skelton's good in a rare dramatic role. Considine is so excellent he defeats some of the hokiness of script. Charles Bronson has a tiny role in dice game scene. The Thief of Paris: Intense comedy-drama with personal problems turning Belmondo to thievery for reprisal against the world. Eventually he finds that robbery has become his entire life. The Deep End of the Sea: Persuasively performed adaptation of Jacquelyn Mitchard's best seller in reference to the disappearance of a 3 year old at his mommy's high school reunion, and his possible return 9 years later. This 2 part tale is admittedly a whopper, yet it's addressed in believable style that makes one able to acknowledge it. Cast includes Michelle pfeiffer, Treat Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Jonathan Jackson, Ryan Merriman, John Kapelos, and Michael Mcelroy. (109 minutes, 1999)
The Last Temptation of Christ: Imaginative and enticing from Nikos Kazantzakis' novel which presumes in regards to Jesus' self-questions while he grasps he has been selected by The lord to tote His message. Minutes of incredible beauty are reduced somehow by mundane discussion and dull extends. Cast includes Willem Dafoe, Harvey Keitel, Barbara Hershey, Harry Dean Stanton, David Bowie, Vema Bloom, Andre Gregory, Juliette Caton, Roberts Blossom, Irvin Kershner, Nehemiah Persoff, and Barry Miller. The Alannist: Eccentric and choppy black comedy in reference to a novice door to door security alarm sales man (Arquette) who finds that his manager and self-fashioned mentor (Tucci) is a crook. Hot enough for June: Discharged at the peak of the James Bond fad, this spoof characteristics Bogarde as a bumbling spy in Czechoslovakia. This film is an occasionally clever, gleaming comedy. Cast includes Dirk Bogarde, Sylva Koscina, Leo McKern, Robert Morley, Roger Delgado, and John LeMesurier. (98 minutes, 1964)
