How In The World Do You Find The Best Omega 3 Supplements?

So you know all about the many benefits of Omega 3 supplements, but you're a little stuck trying to work out which are the best fish oil supplements.

I can understand that, it's confusing. There's so many Omega 3 capsules around, and they differ so much in price. More capsules in the bottle, less capsules. More expensive, less expensive.

But surely an Omega supplement is an Omega supplement, just choose the cheapest, don't you? Well no, actually there's way more to think of when trying to find the best fish oil capsules. Price is only a minor part of it.

There are 4 different things to think about. The freshness of the fish oil used, the amount of DHA in the supplements, the purity of the fish oil and it's effectiveness.

1. The quantity of the DHA.

DHA is the most important of the Omega3 fatty acids. It's the primary fat in our brain, and the one you most want to get from your supplements, along with EPA. Most capsules are 18/12, meaning that 1000 mg per serve gives you 180 mg of DHA (18%) and 120 mg of EPA (12%).

But how do you find out how much DHA is in your capsules? Read the label. If it's not listed on the label don't buy them because it isn't there for a reason. There isn't a lot, if there was they'd tell you.

2. Freshness of the oils.

Fish oil can oxidize, or go rancid. When a fish oil capsule "repeats" on you, or you burp up a fishy taste, it's gone off. This oxidization produces free radicals which aren't good for your health.

3. Purity of the fish oils used.

Fish live in oceans that we people have contaminated with chemicals that we use, that get into rivers, for example, and end up in the sea. And in the flesh of the fish.

There's a range of different standards internationally for the quality, or purity, of fish oil. None are binding. And there's different methods of decontaminating fish oil.

4. Effectiveness of the supplements.

Believe it or not some supplements are more effective than others. For example one of the major health benefits of the best fish oil supplements are their anti inflammatory effect. (Much more effective than aspirin). But not all are as effective against inflammation as others.

So there's 4 things to think about when choosing your Omega 3 supplements. Are you even more confused now? Sorry.

The good news is that there is one supplement that is, in my view, without qualification, the worlds best fish oil supplement. They have 28% DHA, they use oil from fish from the southern ocean, the cleanest ocean in the world. They purify it using the best technology in the world, molecular distillation. They get each batch of oil independently tested to certify quality, purity and freshness and publish the certificates on their website.

And they have test results showing effectiveness against inflammation at around 2 1/2 times more than other omega3 supplements.

They aren't, of course, the cheapest Omega 3 fish oil supplements but I hope I've convinced you that price isn't all there is to fish oil capsules.

So there's the 4 main things that you need to think about if you're looking to find the best Omega 3 supplements.

Or if you'd just prefer to find out which Omega 3 capsules meet all these requirements visit my website to find out.
