After the grand success of the first four Harry Potter movies, fans couldnt wait for the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie. The waiting got even more precious for two main reasons, the first one is pretty simple " fans just wanted to see their favorite wizard Harry Potter again, the second was that people wanted to know what new magic the new director, David Yates, was going to perform. Oh and were they satisfied, as the David Yates churns the largest of all the Harry Potter books into two and a half hours of thrilling entertainment.
There are a number of key events that are taking place in this movie such as the return of He Who must Not be Named, O.W.L exams and the intrusion of the Ministry of Magic in Hogwarts. The movie starts with Harry walking down a street with his cousin Dudley (Harry Melling) and suddenly finding dementors attacking them. He fights them off but this leads to complication with the Ministry of Magic. Seeing that the Ministry of Magic is not doing their job properly Dumbledore re-starts the Order of the Phoenix, a secret society of magicians who come together for one cause; to destroy Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).
Many things are happening in Harrys fifth year at Hogwarts, he has his much awaited O.W.L. exams, Lord Voldemort is rumored to have returned and the Ministry of Magic is going crazy and is taking keen interest in the working of Hogwarts. The movie begins with Harry and his cousin Dudley being attacked by Dementors, Harry manages to save the day with his Patronus charm, but that lands him in trouble with the Ministry of Magic. Meanwhile, Dumbledore is secretly re-grouping the members of the Order of the Phoenix, whove sworn to protect Harry and kill Lord Voldemort.
Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione soon learn about the Order of the Phoenix and are eager to find out more. They meet at the House of the Black and are introduced to another new character called Kreacher, the house elf. At the House of the Black they also get to meet other members of the Order of the Phoenix including someone they have a particular dislike for, especially Harry.
Many fans will tell you they were disappointed. The sole reason for that is that many key moments and events were left out in this movie and one or two scenes were added by the director himself. However, it is practically impossible to please all fans as no one could fit an 870 page book into 2.5 hours of video.
In addition, director David Yates makes full use of the technology available at his disposal and brings the fabled Thestrals to life with some astounding special effects. Also, the casting crew should be credited as they found the perfect actors for the roles of Bellatrix Black and Dolores Umbridge. Overall, this is by far the best movie in the entire Harry Potter series, so far.
