Choosing a Kids Indoor Sleeping Bag Can Be Confusing

What better item to take to summer camp than a customized indoor kid's sleeping bag? Summer is just around the corner and it is time to find a summer camp for your children or a daycare for your child. Most summer camps provide cabins or warm indoor places for the child to sleep. When your child is ready to go to camp, he or she will want to take along their special belongings.

Toddler sleeping bags are the smallest of the indoor sleeping bag. They cater to kids under 2 yrs of age. These bags are approximately 36" long by 22" wide. They sometimes come with a matching pillow. Child size bags measure around 29" wide by 56" long and fit kids from age 3 to 10. Some manufactures produce a teen size sleeping bag for older children. These bags are large enough for an adult, measuring in at 31" wide by 75" long. The child and teen size bag may open up to a comforter for snuggling up in.

There are hundrends of fabric choices to consider when ordering a customized kids indoor sleeping bag. Maybe your child would like a theme print from one of his favorite hobbies? Or maybe just finding the right color combination or pattern will work just as well. Which ever way you go, your child will love the fact that the pattern can be taylored to what they enjoy.

Next, do you upgrade the interior fabric? As a parent of two kids, I noticed that one of my kids is always hot and the other is always cold. We went with one upgraded and the other not. You can choose between two types of interior fabric upgrades on our sleeping bags. First would be flannel, which is like sleeping in flannel sheets. The flannel comes in about 5 different coordinating colors and you can customize which color you would like. It is warmer than the broadcloth, which is standard, but not too warm for the warmer climates. The cozy, plush upgrade would be our Minky Dot Micro Fiber selections. The minky dot fabric is the king of them all. It is much heavier than the flannel and plush and soft like no other. I would suggest this fabric for kids that want to me warm and snug all night long.

Most children love to have items with their name on it, it shows exclusive ownership. The kids indoor sleeping bags can be monogrammed or personalized on the pouch that they roll up into. The pouch is at the end of the bag and the child can see their name when they lie down in their sleeping bag. When the bag is rolled up, the personalized name shows up on the top of the pouch. There are over 10 colors of thread and 4 fonts to choose from, to make the monogram a "one of a kind".

I believe that a kids indoor sleeping bag should be a part of every child's arsenal. My kids use their bags just about every Saturday night in our family room for late movie night. It has become a tradition in our home. They will reach for their bag to go to grandma's house or to a friends for a sleepover. Your child will love cuddling up in their new sleeping bag for many years to come.
