If you are planning a memorable, one of a kind vacation, you just might want to take a trip to Vegas and stay in one of the best Las Vegas hotels. Trust me; it will be an impressive experience, particularly if this is your first visit to this spectacular city. If you're worried about your budget, you need not be. There are plenty of luxurious places to stay that won't clean you out of your casino money.
A vacation in Vegas should be one filled with glitz and glamour, comfort and ambience. After all, this spectacular city has 15 of the largest hotels in the world. If you've ever been there, you know the impact the strip has on you the first time.
On my first trip to Las Vegas I decided to stay at the MGM Grand. It's a classic and everyone has heard of it. The only problem was, for me at least, that it is so enormous it seemed that everything I did required a whole lot of walking. I like to get my own car for the exercise, especially when I'm living it up at meal time and beyond. But it it took forever to get to the parking garage and that got old after a while.
Some of the best Las Vegas hotels are located off the strip. Fremont Street is loaded with all the classic hotel casinos that we have come to know in the movies and on TV. The Golden Nugget, Fitzgerald's, the Four Queens are just a few of the classic downtown Las Vegas hotels that offer very comfortable accommodations that are also very affordable.
There are also several properties away from the strip and downtown such as the Green Valley Ranch for example. Many of these resorts are every bit as luxurious as their better-known cousins. Many people that go to Las Vegas seem to think that they have to stay at a hotel on the world-famous strip or on Fremont Street to have an enjoyable experience. That's not true at all.
The themed hotels and casinos are among the best Las Vegas hotels. If you want a real treat you'll visit them even if you don't decide to stay there; like the Venetian with its real gondolas. When you go for a ride you'll feel like you've been transported to Venice. There's also the Hard Rock Casino with all the rock-and-roll memorabilia and ambiance you could ever want. The Paris has a replica of the Eiffel Tower and the New York, New York one of the skyline of New York. If you're taking the kids, they'll enjoy Treasure Island and the battling pirate ships.
There are always special deals available no matter what time of year it is. It's just a matter of knowing where to find them. If you're going to Vegas on the spur of the moment and you will want to check to see if there have been any last-minute cancellations you can take advantage of. Otherwise, it is always best to plan well in advance so you have time to shop and compare the room rates.
Keep an eye out for incentives and package deals as well. The best Las Vegas hotels many times offer tickets to shows to entice people to stay at their hotel casino. You can also get a discount on your room if you book airline tickets in conjunction with making hotel reservations. What you really want to do is win at the casino and then have your room comped. But that is a subject for another day.
