Clever, fashionable, lightning paced thriller is a superlative showcase for the illuminating abilities of Li who, in his camouflage, looks like the Green Hornet's Kato. Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band: Try to link melodies from The Beatles' classic album into some kind of tale line just doesn't work; patterns range from reasonable to humiliating. As to The Bee Gees performing ability, well let's just say that they are not the Beatles. Cast includes Peter Frampton, The Bee Gees, George Bums, Sandy Farina, and Steve Martin. (111 minutes, 1978)
The Foxes of Harrow: Lavish however lumbering story of philanderer breaking up his marriage to seek wealth and fame in New Orleans in 1820. Cast includes Rex Harrison, Maureen O'Hara, Richard Haydn, Champ McLaglen, Vanessa Brown, Patricia Medina, and Gene Lockhart. (117 minutes, 1947)
Bela Logosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla: Mitchell and Petrillo (Martin and Lewis hopefuls) are stranded on a small island, where Lugosi is carrying out odd trials and experiments. Cast includes Bela Lugosi, Duke Mitchell, Sammy Petrillo, Charlita, Muriel Landers, and Ramona the Chimp. (74 minutes, 1952)
Frequency: John Sullivan lost his father thirty years ago. He is still affected by the loss. Somehow with the use of his father's old ham radio, he can communicate with his father, back when his father was still alive. He warns his father of the fire that would kill him. This saves his father but sets off new events that now must be resolved, or John's mother will die.
Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip: Pryor on Africa, sex, lawyers, his spouse, sex, Italian mobsters, more sex, and freebasing. Some of it's ludicrous, some isn't, however the audience is always shown tripled over with laughter. (82 minutes, 1982)
Jury of One: Trudging melodrama in reference to a lady who goes to shocking extremes to defend her child who is on trial for murder and rape. Gabin plays the magistrate. Cast includes Sophia Loren, Jean Gabin, Henri Garcin, Julien Bertheau, and Michel Albertini. (97 minutes, 1974)
